Getting started

Joining, the first sign-in and the steps before your profile goes live.

Who can join, and what if my country is not open yet?

Sugar Attraction is for adults. New memberships are open to people living in the European Union, the wider European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, Switzerland and the United States for now.

If your country is not open yet, the sign-up form offers a waiting list instead. It keeps only your e-mail address and country, and you hear from us when membership opens there.

I have an invitation code. Where do I enter it?

If a member invited you, enter their code in the sign-up form, or add it later in the Membership section of your account, before your profile is approved. The code links your application to the member who invited you.

What happens after I sign up?

After sign-up you confirm your e-mail address with the link in the message we send. Then the member area shows a panel called Getting started with your next step at every moment: fill in your profile, add a profile photo and send the profile for review.

A person reads every profile before it goes live. Nothing is visible to other members until a moderator approves it. Once approved, Discover, Messages and Travel open.

  • Verify your email
  • Complete your profile
  • Add a profile photo
  • Send it for review

The verification e-mail did not arrive. What now?

Use the button in the member area to send the verification e-mail again. It can take a few minutes to arrive; check the spam folder first. Several requests in a short time are held back for an hour, and earlier e-mails may still be on their way.

Verification

What the verification badges mean, how to earn them and what they do not claim.

What do the verification badges mean?

There are two independent, optional badges.

  • Photo selfie verified: a moderator compared a selfie you took holding a paper with the word SugarAttraction and the current date with your profile photos.
  • Video-selfie verified: you completed a live camera challenge and a reviewer compared the recording with your approved photos.

A badge confirms a reviewed selfie or a reviewed live video-selfie challenge. It is not government-ID or legal-age verification, and the birth year on your profile is used to calculate age only.

How does the video-selfie work?

Open Verification & privacy in your profile and start the video-selfie. The camera asks for a short sequence of actions: blink twice, look up and down, turn your head left and right, and smile. The recording goes to a reviewer, who compares it with your approved profile photos.

A rejection names the reason, for example a face that does not match the photos or a recording of insufficient quality.

What does Phone verified mean?

Optional. In My profile → Verification & privacy you enter a mobile number and we text you a 6-digit code; typing it back proves you can receive texts on that number right now. Your profile then shows Phone verified. The number itself is never shown to anyone and is not a login.

A code is valid for 10 minutes and works once; you can ask for up to three codes a day. One number belongs to one account at a time. You can change or remove the number any time after confirming your password; the mark comes off immediately.

Texts arrive from “Info” or “SugarAttr”. If your country is not offered in the list, we do not send verification texts there yet.

Does verification change my membership?

Verification unlocks more of Discover for others looking for verified members, and the Pricing page explains who qualifies for Premium without a payment method after verification.

Your profile and photos

Filling in your profile, review by a moderator, photos, videos and the locked gallery.

What do I fill in, and what is locked?

The profile has four parts: Profile details, Matching, Media and Verification & privacy. Only the basics are required before review: who you are, where you are, a headline, a few lines about you, whom you want to meet and what you expect. Body, lifestyle and work details are optional and can be added once the profile is live. Required fields are marked. The headline and the biography have a minimum length so that other members read something real.

Public rates, pay-per-meet offers and sexual services are not allowed anywhere on a profile. A profile that carries them is rejected in review.

Gender identity is locked after the first submission for review. Everything else can be changed later and the change goes through review again before it is shown.

What does review mean and how long is editing paused?

When you send the profile for review, editing is paused until a moderator decides. While you wait, you can add photos. The moderator either approves the profile, which publishes it, or asks for a change with a reason. In that case open the profile, make the change, save it and send it again.

Which photos and videos can I upload?

  • Photos: JPEG, PNG or WebP, up to 12 MB, between 640 and 12,000 pixels on each side.
  • Videos: MP4, MOV or WebM, up to 100 MB and up to 60 seconds.

Every photo and video passes a technical check and a human review before it is shown. Displayed profile photos carry a SugarAttraction watermark baked into the image. One photo in the public gallery is the main photo.

Discover

Finding members: the catalog, filters, locations, likes and saved profiles.

How does Discover work?

Discover is a calm member catalog without swipe mechanics or fabricated compatibility scores. You browse profiles that match your filters and open the ones you want to read.

Collections group the catalog: New members, Visiting for members in Travel Mode, Saved profiles and Liked profiles.

Which filters and locations do I get?

The basic filters are part of every membership. The advanced filters for activity, verification, intentions, appearance and lifestyle are part of Premium and Elite. Free membership has one discovery location; Premium and Elite have more. The exact numbers for each plan are on the Pricing page.

What each membership unlocks

What is the difference between liking and saving a profile?

Like profile is a signal the other member can see. Save profile is private and is never disclosed to anyone. Who liked you and who viewed your profile are shown with names on the plans that include it; otherwise you see counts in your daily summary.

Sugar Pulse

The daily summary of what really happened around your profile, and the boosts that decide where it sits.

What is Sugar Pulse?

Sugar Pulse is the daily summary of what really happened around your profile: members who viewed it, members who liked it, introductions and private-gallery requests you received. Every number is counted from real actions of real members. Nothing is estimated and nothing is invented to make you come back.

The summary is on your Activity screen. It is sent as a push or e-mail at most once a day, and only on days when something happened.

Why do I see counts but not names?

The count is always yours. Who it was is part of Premium and Elite: on those plans the summary and the Activity screen show the members behind the visits and likes. On Free membership you see the numbers and can upgrade to see the names. Members browsing in Incognito are not listed as visitors, because their visit is not recorded.

What each membership unlocks

What is the New Member Boost?

Every newly approved profile gets a New Member Boost for its first days on Sugar Attraction. While it runs, your profile is shown ahead of other members with the same availability in Discover and Visiting, and your card carries a New member mark.

The boost does not change who can see you, there is nothing to switch on, and the exact day it ends is shown on your Activity screen. It is given once, when your profile is first approved; editing your profile later does not start it again.

Can I boost my profile myself?

Premium and Elite include profile boosts you start yourself, from the boost card on your Activity screen. A boost runs for a fixed number of hours and does exactly what the New Member Boost does: while it runs, your profile is shown ahead of other members with the same availability in Discover and Visiting. It does not change who can see you, and it does not mark your card as a new member.

How many you get is part of your membership and is counted over any 30 days, not per calendar month: a boost stops counting 30 days after you started it. The card shows how many you have left and, when you have used them all, when the next one becomes available. You cannot start one while another boost is already running, including your New Member Boost — it would spend a boost on placement you already have.

How many boosts each membership includes

How do I switch the daily summary off?

In Notifications, the Daily summary category has its own switch for push on each device and for e-mail. Switching it off stops the messages; the summary stays on your Activity screen.

Travel Mode

Telling members in another city that you are coming, without sharing where you stay.

How does Travel Mode work?

Travel Mode lets you choose one real destination from the city catalog and a visible date range. Members in that city see you in the Visiting collection for those dates. We never ask for your hotel, GPS or live movement; what is shared is the city only.

How many destinations you can keep at once, current or planned, depends on your membership and is listed on the Pricing page.

Messages

Introductions, replies, voice messages, private media and view-once.

How do conversations start?

Conversations start with an introduction, not an open chat. You send an introduction from a profile; the other member accepts or declines it. After a decline you can send a new introduction to the same member after seven days.

Each membership has an allowance of introductions per rolling seven days. The Messages section shows how many you have left.

Why can I read a message but not reply?

Every member can read the introductions they receive. Replying and the full conversation are part of Premium and Elite membership.

Membership pricing

What can I send in a conversation?

  • Text messages.
  • Private photos and private videos, up to 100 MB and 60 seconds for a video.
  • Voice messages up to five minutes.
  • View-once media: the recipient can reveal it once. Screen capture cannot be prevented, so send only what you are comfortable with.

Safety plan for a date

Tell someone you trust where you will be, and confirm afterwards that you are fine.

What is a date plan?

A date plan is a note for one person you trust: when and where you are meeting someone from Sugar Attraction, whom (by profile name only), and by what time you will confirm you are fine. That person gets it by e-mail right away. Nothing is shared with the person you are meeting, and no location is tracked.

You open it from the conversation with the person you are meeting (Plan a date), and it then sits on your overview until you check in.

What happens at the check-in hour?

  • At the check-in hour you chose, you get a push notification and an e-mail with one button: I am fine. Tapping it, or the button on your overview, tells your contact all is well.
  • If you do not check in within an hour of that time, your contact is e-mailed that we have no word from you, with the place and what they can do. We do not know your location and cannot call anyone for you.
  • Running late? Add an hour on the card at any time; your contact is told the new time.
  • Cancelling the plan tells your contact it is cancelled.

What does my contact see, and can they stop it?

Your contact does not need an account. Every e-mail they receive has a link to stop further plans from you, or all date plan e-mails from Sugar Attraction. Their name, address and any phone number are stored sealed and only for the plan, and the whole plan is deleted 30 days after the date.

SMS to you and to your contact can be added once the SMS channel is switched on and you have verified your own mobile number in Verification & privacy: your reminder goes to that number, and every text to your contact carries a link to stop further texts. Until then the form offers e-mail only.

Membership

The three memberships, upgrades, downgrades, renewal, invitations and Incognito.

Which memberships are there?

There are three memberships: Free, Premium and Elite. Free costs nothing and does not ask for a payment method. Premium and Elite are sold for a period of days, and every price is shown in full on the Pricing page together with what each plan unlocks.

Every price, in full

How do I change my membership?

Premium to Elite is an instant upgrade: the unused part of your current period is credited against the first Elite period, and the receipt shows the credit.

Elite to Premium is a scheduled change: you keep Elite until the end of the paid period and Premium starts at the next renewal. You can cancel the scheduled change before it takes effect.

How do I stop the renewal?

A paid membership renews automatically at the end of each period unless you turn renewal off in the Membership section. Turning it off never shortens a period you have already paid for: your benefits continue to the end of that period and no further payment is taken.

What are invitations and founding member places?

Every member has a personal invitation link and code in the Membership section. When a person you invited is approved, you receive days of membership as a reward, up to a cap per 30 days shown there. While founding places are open, the first members with an approved profile and an approved video-selfie become founding members and receive a membership grant in strict approval order, without a payment method.

What does Incognito hide?

Incognito is part of Elite. It hides your passive profile visits: members do not see that you opened their profile. It never hides active actions. Likes, introductions, messages and locked-gallery requests always show who sent them.

Payments and documents

Paying, renewals, receipts and refunds.

How do I pay?

You choose the plan and the period, pick your country, which decides the VAT shown, and confirm. Nothing is charged on our page: the payment is made on the secure page of the payment provider, and you return to the member area when it is done.

The payment methods available to you are listed on the checkout page, and the provider that takes the payment is named there. We never receive or store your card number; the provider handles the card and returns only a reference, the status and the amount.

When is the renewal charged, and what if it fails?

A paid membership is charged again shortly before each period ends, using the payment method you paid with, unless renewal is turned off. If a renewal payment fails, we retry over the following days and your benefits continue for a grace period. If the payment still does not succeed, the paid benefits end and you can pay again from the Membership section at any time.

Where are my receipts?

Payment history in the Membership section lists a numbered document for every payment and every refund on your account: a receipt for a payment and a credit note for a refund. Each can be downloaded as a PDF.

How do refunds work?

The Refund Policy sets out when a payment is refunded, including the 14-day right of withdrawal and what a scheduled downgrade means for the current period. A refund goes back through the payment provider to the method you paid with and appears in Payment history as a credit note.

Refund Policy

Safety

Blocking, reporting and what happens after a report.

How do I block someone?

Block member stops communication immediately in both directions. Unblocking later never restores the old conversation.

How do I report something?

Every profile, conversation and message has a report action. A report is scoped to one item, the message or attachment you point at, and you choose a reason: harassment or threats, impersonation, a minor or age concern, non-consensual or intimate content, scam or fraud, spam, prohibited transactional content, or other.

The report reaches an authorised reviewer directly with the context it needs. The person you reported is not told who reported them. If someone is putting you at risk, use the report action rather than e-mail; the Contact page says how urgent matters are handled.

Contact and support

What do other people see on my phone?

A notification never carries a name, a photograph or message text, so nothing on a lock screen gives away who wrote to you. The Safety page explains what the trust signals on a profile mean and what they do not.

Safety and verification

Privacy and your data

Discreet mode, Quick exit, your data, notifications, closing your account.

What does Discreet mode change?

Discreet mode changes how the app presents itself on your device. With it on, the app appears as “SA” with a plain monogram on your home screen, in the browser tab and in every notification, and each notification says only “You have a new update”. Inside the app nothing changes: the mark in the header becomes the monogram, and that is all.

It is a switch in My profile, in the same place as Incognito, and it is part of Premium and Elite. When the membership ends, the app shows its full name and mark again; your setting is kept and resumes when the membership is active again. The expiry warning e-mail says so a week ahead.

  • The order matters. Turn Discreet mode on first and only then add the app to your home screen: the icon and the name are “SA” at once, and notifications are attributed to “SA” as well.
  • An icon added before switching keeps the full name and mark for a while. Android updates it on its own, usually within a day; removing the icon and adding it again is immediate.
  • iPhone and iPad read the name and icon only when the app is added to the home screen. After switching, remove the icon and add it again from Safari: Share, then Add to Home Screen.
  • E-mails arrive from “SA” with subjects and text that name no product. The links in them still lead to the app’s own address.

What does Quick exit do?

Quick exit is the button next to the account menu, for every member. One tap replaces the page with a weather site, and the Back button does not return to the app in that tab: every step back lands on the weather site again. You stay signed in, and nothing about your account changes; open the app again from its address, a bookmark or the home-screen icon.

It is a safety control, not a benefit of a plan: it works the same on Free, Premium and Elite, with or without Discreet mode.

How do I get a copy of my data?

In Privacy and your data choose Request a copy of my data. After you confirm with your password, we bundle your account, profile, conversations, uploads, memberships and receipts into one file. It is available for download for a week.

How do I close my account, and what is deleted?

Closing is self-service. You enter your password, confirm the link in the e-mail we send, and the account enters a 14-day window in which the closure can still be undone. After that the account, the profile and your photos and videos are deleted permanently.

A paid period that is still running is not refunded by closing the account. Some records are kept because the law requires it, such as accounting documents, the proof of age verification and the audit trail; the Privacy Policy lists them with their retention periods.

Privacy Policy

How do I change notifications?

Notifications has separate lists for push on each device and for e-mail. Categories include Messages, Introductions, Private gallery requests, Profile reviews, Profile visits, Membership and payments, Invitations and rewards, Membership reminders, Product news and the Daily summary, which sends at most one message a day. Security e-mails about sign-ins, passwords and e-mail address changes are never optional.

Every e-mail carries an unsubscribe link for its category; the link works without signing in.

Moderation and appeals

Decisions about your profile or behaviour, and how to appeal them.

What decisions can a moderator make?

A moderator can reject a profile or a photo with a reason, ask for a change, issue a warning, restrict messaging or suspend the account for a period. A permanent ban, for the most serious cases, is decided by an administrator. Each decision names its reason, and the Activity section shows the decisions on your account.

How do I appeal?

You can appeal each decision once, within six months. A member of staff who was not involved in the original decision reads your appeal and decides within 14 days. The original decision stays in force while the appeal is open. Signed-in members appeal from Activity; if the decision keeps you from signing in, use the public appeal form with the e-mail address of your account.

Appeal a moderation decision

Sign-in and account

Signing in, passwords and lost access.

I forgot my password.

Use Recover your account under the sign-in form. We send a link to the e-mail address of the account, and the link opens a page where you set a new password. Passwords use at least 12 characters.

Set a new password

What does my account status mean?

The Account status line in the member area names the state: onboarding pending, active, restricted, suspended, deactivated or erasure pending. A restricted or suspended account has a decision behind it that you can read and appeal in Activity. An account in the erasure window can still be reopened during the 14 days.

How do I change the appearance or the language?

The Account panel in the member area has Appearance and Language. Appearance is System, Light or Dark; System follows the device. The choice is kept on your account, so every device you sign in on paints the same way. Language offers English, Czech, Slovak, German, Polish, French, Italian and Spanish; a language that is not fully translated yet shows English for the missing parts. The choice is kept on your account in the same way, and the public pages open in your language from their own addresses, for example /cs for Czech.

What happens when I lose the connection?

A bar at the top says when you are offline or when the server did not answer; it goes away when the connection is back, and Reload tries again. An installed app opens a short offline page instead of a browser error. Nothing from the member area is stored on the device for offline reading: profiles, messages and photos always come from the server.

I still need help.

Support answers questions about your account, verification, moderation decisions, membership and payments. The Contact page has the address, the hours and the company details.
