Refund Policy
This policy explains what you buy when you take a paid membership, how the European right of withdrawal applies to it, and how to ask us for a refund.
1. What this policy covers
This policy covers paid Premium and Elite memberships bought through the checkout on this service. The Free membership costs nothing and has nothing to refund.
Checkout is open for payment by bank transfer. Any further payment method is enabled only once its provider has approved and securely configured this service, and this policy applies to it from that moment.
2. What you are buying
A paid membership is digital content supplied to you immediately: unlocked access to messaging, discovery filters, profile media slots, Travel Mode and the other features listed on the pricing page, for a fixed period of 30 or 90 days.
You are charged the total price shown for that period. A weekly figure shown next to it exists only to make periods comparable and is never the amount charged. There is no free trial, so a paid period never begins as a trial and never converts into one.
3. Your 14-day right of withdrawal
If you are a consumer in the European Union, you normally have 14 days from the conclusion of a distance contract to withdraw from it without giving a reason, under Article 9 of Directive 2011/83/EU as implemented in your country.
That right applies to a paid membership unless it has lapsed under section 4.
4. When the right of withdrawal lapses
A membership is digital content that is not supplied on a physical medium and is unlocked the moment your payment is confirmed to us — for a bank transfer, when the money is credited and matched to your payment code. Under Article 16(m) of Directive 2011/83/EU the right of withdrawal is lost for such content once supply has begun with your prior express consent and your acknowledgement that you lose the right.
You give this consent at checkout by clicking the payment button, which is rendered directly next to the following statement. The exact wording shown to you and the moment of your click are stored with your order:
- “By clicking “Continue to payment”, you ask Sugar Attraction to make your membership available immediately and you acknowledge that you thereby lose your 14-day right of withdrawal once the membership has been made available to you in full.”
If you do not proceed with the payment, no consent is given and nothing is charged. If you do proceed, your membership is unlocked at once and the right of withdrawal no longer applies to that period.
Withdrawing before your membership is unlocked costs nothing: a transfer that has already arrived is returned in full to the account it came from, within 14 days of being told that you are withdrawing; a transfer not yet sent simply is not sent, and the payment code closes by itself.
5. Renewal and cancellation
A membership paid by bank transfer does not renew by itself. Before the period ends we e-mail you, and the membership section of your account offers a further period of the same length at the price of your plan; you pay it with a new transfer, and nothing is charged without you. A membership paid by card, once card payment is offered, renews automatically at the end of each period until you turn the renewal off; that rule is shown next to the payment button before you pay, and the next renewal date is always visible in the membership section.
Where renewal is automatic, you can turn it off at any time, in one step, in that same section. Turning it off never shortens a period you have already paid for: everything your plan includes stays available until the end of that period, and nothing is charged afterwards. You can turn it back on again at any time before that date. If you have Elite, you can instead schedule Premium for the next renewal; Elite access continues to the end of the paid period, and you can cancel that scheduled change before it takes effect.
A renewal or a further period takes effect only when the payment is confirmed to us. If an automatic renewal payment does not go through, your access continues unchanged for a short grace period while the payment is retried; if it still does not go through, the paid features lock and the membership ends. A membership paid by transfer simply ends at the end of the paid period unless a further period has been paid. You can start a new membership at any time after that.
Turning the renewal off is not a refund request. It stops the next charge; it does not return money already paid for the running period. Section 7 sets out when money already paid is returned.
6. If the service does not work as described
Your statutory rights for defective digital content are not affected by this policy. Under Directive (EU) 2019/770 you can ask us to bring the service into conformity and, where the law allows it, ask for a price reduction or end the contract. Tell us what is wrong through the support channel on the Contact page; we would rather fix the problem than argue about it.
7. Refunds outside the withdrawal right
A membership that has been unlocked with your consent is, in principle, not refundable for the remainder of its period simply because you stop using it, change your mind or close your account. We can still make an exception — for example after a billing error, a duplicate charge, or a fault we could not fix.
Three cases come up often enough to state them plainly:
- Changing plan during a running period: Elite members can schedule Premium for the next renewal in the membership section. Elite access continues until the paid period ends, the scheduled change can be cancelled before then, and there is no mid-period downgrade or proportional refund to calculate. Other plan changes require a new membership after the current period ends.
- You close your account: the membership ends with it and the remainder of the period is not refunded, because the access was unlocked for you in full with your consent.
- We restrict or end your membership: if we do it for a reason that is not a breach by you — for example because we withdraw a feature you paid for, or because we lose the ability to provide the service — we refund the unused part of the paid period pro rata. If we do it because of a breach of these terms or of the content rules, the remainder is not refunded.
8. How to ask for a refund
Contact support from the address registered to your account, and tell us which payment it concerns. You do not need to give a reason to exercise the right of withdrawal in section 3.
Send a refund request to info@sugarattraction.com, or call +421 944 010 607. Monday to Friday, 9:00–17:00 (CET/CEST); we aim to answer within two business days.
We decide a refund request within 14 days of receiving it and we tell you the outcome and the reason for it. Where we approve a refund, we return the money within 14 days of that decision: a bank transfer back to the account the payment came from, a card payment through the payment provider to the card you used.
An approved refund goes back the way the money came. For a bank transfer that is the account the transfer was sent from; if your bank did not pass that account number on to us, we ask you for it and pay to no other account. For a card payment the refund is executed by the payment provider to the card you used, and your bank decides how quickly it appears on your statement; we never hold card details ourselves.
9. Before you open a chargeback
This applies to card payments; a bank transfer cannot be charged back. Please contact us first. Almost every dispute we have seen is faster to resolve directly, and a chargeback opened without contacting us may lead to your account being restricted while the case is investigated.
10. Currency and taxes
Prices are shown and charged in euro (EUR). Your bank may add its own conversion cost if your account is in another currency; that cost is not ours and is not refundable by us.
Prices are total prices and they are final. All2U services s.r.o. is registered for VAT only for intra-EU acquisitions under the reverse-charge mechanism and is not a VAT payer for its own supplies, so no VAT is added to the price of a membership and none is itemised on top of it. The amount shown on the pricing page is the amount charged.
